Privacy policy

Effective 1 August 2026

Your privacy matters to us. This policy describes how PCF handles personal information across the assessment, learning and membership experience.

1. Who we are

Purpose Coaching Federation (“PCF”, “we”, “us”) operates a membership platform that assesses, sequences and credentials coaching practice. This policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

2. Information we collect

Account details you provide when you create an account or contact us, such as your name, email address and password.

Assessment responses and progress: the answers you give during placement, your assigned level, logged practice hours, course completion and coach sign-off records.

Billing information for paid memberships, processed by our payment provider; we do not store full card numbers on our servers.

Usage and device data: basic technical information (such as browser type and pages viewed) that helps us keep the service secure and reliable.

3. How we use your information

To place you at the right level, run your learning path, record credentials and provide the coaching features you sign up for.

To operate, secure and improve the platform, and to communicate with you about your account, sessions and membership.

To meet legal, accounting and regulatory obligations.

4. Cookies and local storage

We set two cookies, both strictly necessary, and neither is used to track you. There is no advertising, analytics or third-party tracking on this site.

purpose-coaching-federation-session keeps you signed in. It is removed when you sign out and expires after two hours of inactivity. XSRF-TOKEN protects forms against cross-site request forgery, so that another site cannot submit an action in your name. Both are restricted to this site and are not readable by anyone else.

We also use your browser’s local storage, which never leaves your device and is not sent to us: your shopping basket, your chosen workspace, and any images you have set on the page. Clearing your browser data removes all of it.

Because these are necessary for the service to work at all, we do not ask for consent to set them; you are told about them here instead. If we ever add analytics or anything that is not strictly necessary, we will ask first and you will be able to refuse.

5. Sharing and disclosure

We share personal information only with service providers who help us run the platform (for example hosting and payment processing), where required by law, or, for organisation-funded seats, with the sponsoring organisation in aggregate form that does not expose the content of private coaching conversations.

6. Data retention

We keep your information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the service, then for any period required to meet legal and accounting obligations, after which it is deleted or anonymised.

7. Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, and you may object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us using the details below.

8. Security

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to safeguard your data and to notify you and regulators of significant incidents where required.

9. Children

PCF is intended for professionals and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected here with a new effective date.
